This guide provides participants with important details for preparing for their time at The Monte Castello Academy. It covers travel planning, airport transportation, accommodations, meals, required forms, health and insurance requirements, packing recommendations, studio guidelines, community policies, and emergency information. Reviewing the guide in advance helps participants understand what to expect before arrival, how to prepare for daily life in Monte Castello di Vibio, and how to make the most of their workshop experience in Italy.

This form provides us with emergency contact information and any medical conditions that could affect your stay at ICA. This is particularly important if you have allergies that could be triggered by certain foods or events like a bee sting, or if you have chronic conditions such as a heart condition or diabetes in which case having advance knowledge of your condition could facilitate helping you in the event of an emergency.

This Health and Safety Plan outlines the policies, responsibilities, and emergency procedures designed to support the health, safety, and well-being of students participating in the Monte Castello Academy Study Abroad Program in Italy. It provides guidance on medical care, insurance, emergency contacts, personal safety, housing, transportation, excursions, environmental health, crisis response, and participant responsibilities so that students and program staff are prepared to prevent risks and respond appropriately if an emergency occurs.

All participants must sign a liability waiver releasing the International Center for the Arts from liability while participating in ICA programs and trips.

All participants must sign a consent form confirming that they understand and agree to the Cancellation and Refund Policies in place at International Center for the Arts.

We require that all our participants provide proof of health and travel insurance, along with policy information upon registration in case of emergency. One or more of your policies must include coverage for health care, emergency evacuation, theft, baggage loss, trip cancellation / interruption.
