Renowned still life painter Amy Weiskopf was born in Chicago in 1957 and received her B.F.A from Washington University in St Louis and her M.F.A. from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, PA. She has shown her paintings extensively throughout the United States for more than three decades and is currently represented by various galleries including Hirschl & Adler Modern in New York and Arthur Roger Gallery in New Orleans. For many years she has taught workshops and at universities, including Tyler School of Art, Tulane University, Kentucky School of Art, New York Academy of Art, the Jerusalem Studio School and now teaches at the Art Students League in New York City. Weiskopf’s work is in many private and public collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Weiskopf divides her time between Brooklyn and a small Italian village south of Siena.
