Working primarily in painting, but also in printmaking, ceramics, video, photography and installation, Richard Hart’s recent work collages figurative and abstract elements to speculate upon radical futures where the mystical and physical, magical and mundane coexist. Richard came to the world of contemporary art after a long and storied career as a graphic designer and illustrator and his design sensibility is evident in his work as an artist.

He has exhibited widely including shows in the USA, South Africa, Hong Kong, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and the UK. His work is held in numerous private collections and in museum collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The New York Historical Society, The Museum of the City of New York and The Tacoma Museum of Art.
